Interview Coaching Vs Online Interview Training Which Is Right For You?

When preparing for an important job interview, having the right support can make a real difference. But should you choose an online interview training course or one-to-one interview coaching?

At Interview Success, I offer both options. They’re designed to help you understand what employers are looking for, develop stronger interview answers and approach your next interview with confidence. However, the right choice depends on how you prefer to learn and the type of support you would like.

Online Interview Training – Learn at Your Own Pace

If you prefer to learn independently, our online interview training course (£79) provides a structured approach to preparing for interviews.

You’ll learn how to identify likely interview questions, structure effective answers, use the STAR technique and demonstrate your skills and experience.

With 12 months’ access, you can work through the training whenever it suits you and revisit the guidance whenever you need it.

Ideal if: You want expert guidance, a clear preparation plan and the flexibility to learn at your own pace.

One-to-One Interview Coaching – Personalised Support

If you’d prefer individual feedback and the opportunity to practise your answers with an experienced interview coach, one-to-one coaching is likely to be the better option.

Sessions are tailored to you, the role you’re applying for and the type of interview you’re facing. You’ll have the opportunity to practise answering relevant questions, receive feedback and work on specific areas where you need support.

Whether you’re struggling with difficult questions, unsure how to demonstrate your experience or simply want to feel more confident, coaching provides focused, individual support.

Ideal if: You have an interview coming up and want personalised advice, targeted practice and expert feedback.

Coaching sessions start from £125 and sessions are delivered online via Zoom.

Which One Should You Choose?

Both options provide practical advice and guidance from an experienced HR and recruitment professional with over 10 years’ experience interviewing and recruiting candidates across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

The main difference is how you want to prepare.

Choose online training if you prefer to work independently and want a flexible, structured approach.

Choose one-to-one interview coaching if you’d benefit from individual feedback, practice and preparation tailored to your specific interview.

The key difference is that online training gives you the knowledge and tools to prepare for interviews independently, whereas one-to-one coaching allows you to put those skills into practice with individual guidance and feedback from an experienced professional.

Whichever option you choose, you’ll benefit from practical advice and guidance based on over 10 years’ experience interviewing and recruiting candidates. The aim is to help you understand what interviewers are looking for, communicate your experience effectively and approach your next interview with confidence.
