For many professionals, interviews represent a critical yet challenging stage in the job search process. Even highly qualified candidates can struggle to communicate their value effectively under pressure. This is where working with an interview coach and engaging in structured interview coaching can provide a meaningful advantage.
However, it is important to set clear and realistic expectations. Interview coaching is not a guarantee of success, but rather a professional development investment designed to enhance your performance, confidence, and strategic approach.
What can I expect to achieve after a 60-minute interview coaching session?
A 60-minute interview coaching session suits people who have a clear understanding of where they need to improve, and would like support and guidance from an expert to help them to improve. It provides you with valuable interview practice answering likely interview questions, expert guidance and a clear plan to focus your interview preparation.
A 60-minute interview coaching session can be used to conduct a practice interview so you can practice your interview skills, and receive feedback on your performance. This provides you with a clear understanding of your strengths and development areas, whether you are interviewing at the expected standard for the role, and how your interview skills compare to other candidates. If you would like to combine a practice interview with interview coaching which teaches you how to improve your interview skills, a 90-minute session will be more appropriate.
You will gain a clear understanding of your next steps, enabling you to effectively address and resolve your development areas following the session.
What can I expect to achieve after a 90-minute interview coaching session?
A 90-minute interview coaching session provides an opportunity for me to identify your main development areas, and teach you how to improve these. It provides you with valuable interview practice answering likely interview questions, expert guidance, and a clear plan to focus your interview preparation. It can focus on specific types of questions, or it can combine a 45 or 60-minute mock interview with coaching to improve your development areas, and develop some outstanding interview answers. I will provide verbal and written feedback including your strengths, development areas and recommended next steps after each session.
After a 90-minute interview coaching session most clients have significantly improved their interview skills and confidence, have a clear understanding of their strengths and development areas, whether they are interviewing at the expected standard for the role, and how they can improve their interview skills. They have learned to tailor their responses and fine-tune the delivery of their interview answers so they make an extremely positive impression on interviewers.
You will gain a clear understanding of your next steps, enabling you to effectively address and resolve your development areas following the session.
What can I expect to achieve after the interview skills package?
The interview skills coaching package comprises a 90-minute and 60-minute interview coaching session, providing a comprehensive approach to improving your interview skills. During the sessions you will learn how recruiters rate your current performance, where you need to improve and how to make the improvements. We will practice answering a wide range of likely interview questions, refine your answers to develop some outstanding interview answers, fine-tune the delivery of your interview answers and review your progress. I will provide verbal and written feedback including your strengths, development areas and recommended next steps after each session.
After completing the interview skills package most clients have significantly improved their interview skills and confidence and are interviewing at (or usually above) the standard required for the role, providing excellent answers and making an extremely positive impression on interviewers. You will have a clear understanding of your strengths and development areas, how your interview skills compare to other candidates, have learned (and practiced using) techniques to sell yourself effectively, and satisfy recruiters.
In some cases, individuals who are experiencing a significant lack of confidence or whose current performance is notably below the expected standard may benefit from booking an additional coaching session. I offer a discounted rate on additional coaching sessions to clients who have booked the interview skills package. Over the last ten years, I haven’t worked with any clients who have required more than three interview coaching sessions to prepare effectively for a specific interview.
You will have significantly improved your interview skills, overcome your main development areas, and gained a clear understanding of your next steps, enabling you to effectively address and resolve any issues after the session.
The majority of customers who complete the interview skills package are offered a role after their next interview. Some clients benefit from additional interview practice, either with me or in real interviews. Most clients are well-positioned to secure a role within their next three interviews.
